Commonly used to represent satellite television, radio, and internet, as well as broadcasting, streaming, cellular, and wireless services or technologies. May also represent various concepts of signals and transmission.

Several platforms, including Samsung and Twitter, feature curved, radiating lines, as if transmitting data. Google’s design is depicted in blue.

Satellite Antenna was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
