Not to be confused with the more cartoon-styled ๐ณ Spouting Whale, though their applications may overlap.
Apple and Microsoft’s whales have slightly open mouths, revealing baleen.
Whale was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
